A holiday isn't a holiday without good places to stay and great things to do. To be assured of this, look for the Qualmark logo. As New Zealand Tourism's official quality mark, Qualmark provides independent quality assurance for hotel accommodation and other tourism businesses.
All Qualmark accommodation can be relied upon to meet your basic requirements of cleanliness, safety, security and comfort. Only accommodation that has undergone over 400 quality checks can display a Qualmark star grade. Moreover, by using the Qualmark star grading system, you can select accommodation that best suits your needs.
All luxury lodge, hotel, bed & breakfast and farm stay accommodation listed here carries the New Zealand Qualmark brand - your assurance that our member properties have been independently assessed as professional and trustworthy, so that you can book and buy with confidence.
The 'Guest & Hosted' category includes bed & breakfasts, farm and home stays, guesthouses, inns, country hotels, luxury lodges, and similar accommodation that offers a "home-like" or particular New Zealand "character". There's normally an emphasis on the personal interaction between the guest and the host.
Heritage & Character New Zealand Portfolio members must attain a minimum level of Qualmark 4 stars (Guest & Hosted) or be Qualmark "Applied For" on joining.
