Matuka Lodge is set in peaceful surroundings only 3.5 kilometres from the tourist town of Twizel, gateway to Mount Cook National Park and situated half way between Christchurch and Queenstown. Our rooms have views across the trout pond to the Southern Alps and the wider Mackenzie Country and right next door to the property that some of the filming for the Lord of the Rings movie took place.
