Southland, Fiordland and Stewart Island
The Southern Scenic Route takes you through rolling farmland hills and plains and then down to the Wild Catlins Coast, with deserted beaches, petrified forest, waterfalls and sea caves.
Coming from Central Otago and heading west to Te Anau and Manapouri you will see glimpses of the Fiordland Mountains, home to New Zealand’s largest National Park. Milford and Doubtful Sounds… more properly Fiords …. will beckon.
Then on south to Invercargill, gateway to Stewart Island, New Zealand’s southern-most inhabited Island, and home of Rakiura National Park. Stewart Island is all about beautiful beaches, forest, unspoiled Ulva Island and a small community living on the edge of the Southern Ocean
Below you can find details of our luxury lodge accommodation and bed and breakfasts in Invercargill, Fiordland & Stewart Island.
