Your hosts Stella (Kiwi) and Jurgen (German) both love living at picturesque Karaka Bay, and enjoy been able to share it with others. I (Stella) have been in hospitality all my life. Working in Restaurants and owning and operating award wining Marbles Restaurants, and more recently Edgewater Homestay, also at Karaka Bay. Jurgen arrived in New Zealand 2004 to set up distribution of specialist plumbing and drainage products in Australia and New Zealand, for a German Company. We both love to entertain and with that in mind bought Edgewater Lodge 2012, and have renovated to provide accommodation to guests. As well as running Edgewater, and a short stint as an extra in the Hobbit, I (Stella) work for Le Cordon Bleu School teaching hospitality to students. Jurgen continues to work for his German Company, and having recently achieved the EIT wine course, is on the look out for excellent NZ wines. We love to travel, and visit Jurgens home land regularly.
