Hosking House’s owners Rodney Hosking and Rachel Church have turned the classic and elegant walls of 1 Victoria Road, into their dream of a fabulous place to stay in the vibrant city of New Plymouth, which is truly ‘Like No Other.’

Based on their own extensive travels and international experiences, they have created a space in which they would want to stay, come home to and celebrate in.

Hosking House draws its name from owner Rodney Hosking and is in honour of his extensive family in the Taranaki Region.  Rachel Church hails from Long Island, New York and spent ten years living in San Francisco sipping Zinfandels and Pinots, and she and Rod met while living in London.  Rod’s newest passion is perfecting the creations coming out of Hosking House’s pizza oven and building many of the handcrafted pieces in use in the House. Rachel is currently embarking on the 2-year diploma level course in Wine (a precursor to a Master of Wine,) and is thoroughly enjoying discovering New Plymouth and New Zealand through her wine glass and running shoes.
