Ballymoney Farmstay and Garden
Ballymoney is a century old farmhouse with modern amenities situated 20 minutes drive from Christchurch City and the Airport. Set in two-acre rambling garden on a quiet country road, the original part of the house features native timber open fires and the rooms are individually decorated with antique furniture and original artwork. Relax in spacious surroundings and enjoy Kiwi/Irish hospitality, with seasonal cuisine prepared using our own homegrown meat, vegetables, fruit and nuts. There are masses of animals including many rare breeds. Options include bed & breakfast or farm package which include dinner bed breakfast and a farm tour on the 4 x wheel motor bike to feed the animals and birds.
Kowhai Studio
Kowhai is separated from the main house by a brick courtyard and overlooks the spa pool and large garden. There is antique furniture, quality bed linen, original art work, bathrobes, hairdryer, heated towel rails, tea, coffee, fridge & TV.
The studio has an ensuite bathroom with a shower only and can sleep a total of 3 guests. 1 rollaway can be brought in to increase the number of guests to 4. It has 2 beds - 1 Queen and 1 Single bed, cot and rollaway bed are available upon request
Manuka Suite
Manuka Suite offers two rooms. The main room opens through french doors onto a private verandah overlooking the garden. The adjoining double room has a private bathroom. There is antique furniture, quality bed linen, original art work, bathrobes, hairdryer, heated towel rails, tea, coffee, fridge & TV.
The suite has an ensuite bathroom with a bath and a shower and can sleep a total of 4 guests. It has 3 beds - 1 King/Twin Bed, Double Bed and a cot is available upon request.
Your Hosts Merrilies ....Merrilies Rebbeck moved to Ballymoney about 30 years ago with her late husband and three young children. The farmstay has been operating for about 20 years. Nearly all the food eaten at Ballymoney (meat, vegetables, fruit and nuts) is home grown. Merrilies has a large garden and masses of animals.
