The Summit Lodge
Built in 2010, the Summit Lodge is single storey, configured in a U-shape around a courtyard, with guests accommodated in one wing of the property. The guest wing consists of three super-king or twin single rooms (each with ensuite and individual heating/cooling) and guest lounge with open fire, home theatre system, 52" screen, satelite TV, recliner leather seating and extensive DVD collection. In the courtyard, for exclusive guest use, is a large spa pool - perfect for soaking away your stresses and viewing the star-filled night sky. There are also friendly alpacas to meet and a petanque court.
Cooked and continental breakfast included, 'dinner party style' evening meals available on request. All food is locally produced, if not grown on-site. Join your hosts, Tracey and Jim, for complimentary pre-dinner drinks and nibbles each evening as well as enjoy home baking and a range of teas and quality coffee throughout your stay.

Each of the three contemporary guest rooms feature double glazing, thick pile carpet, under-tile heating in the bathroom, large fluffy towels and bathrobes and ranch-slider doors leading to private patios with views of rolling hills and farmland. Additionally, each room has a clock radio with an i-pod docking station for connecting your favourite music or podcasts. There is also an i-pod docking station connected to the guest lounge home theatre system as well as WiFi access.
Wheelchair access throughout the lodge; the Rimu Room also has a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
If staying more than one night, we can also arrange transport for guests to and from the award-winning Gladstone Inn if required.
Guest Wing
You have the option of booking the entire guest wing - the three guest rooms, lounge and courtyard with spa for your exclusive use and privacy. Up to 6 guests.
Kowhai Room
Situated at the front of the Lodge, the Kowhai room can be configuresd as a super-king double or twin single. Thick pile carpet, double glazing and heat pump ensure your comfort. En-suite with under-tile heating, modern fittings and thick fluffy towels. Ranch slider leading o private patio area with views to rolling hills and farmland.
Rimu Room
Situated at the end of our guest wing, the Kowhai room can be configured as a super-king double or twin single and has a wheelchair accessible bathroom. Thick pile carpet, double glazing and heat pump ensure your comfort. En-suite with under-tile heating, modern fittings and thick fluffy towels. Ranch slider leading to private patio area with views to rolling hills and farmland.
Totara Room
Situated in the middle of our guest wing, the Kowhai room can be configured as a super-king double or twin single. Thick pile carpet, double glazing and heat pump ensure your comfort. Your Hosts Tracey and Jim ....Prior to opening the Summit Lodge Tracey and Jim both held senior corporate jobs in Wellington. They both love entertaining, good food, wine and meeting people. Jim is a keen golfer and when not at the Summit can often be found on one of the Wairarapa' s golf courses. Tracey is a photographer and finds inspiration in the scenery and colours of the Wairarapa. Both enjoy cooking and baking - visitors to the Summit Lodge will not go away hungry!
