Otawa Lodge
Nestled in the hills a short drive from Woodville is Otawa Lodge, a magnificent historic homestead built in 1914 and considered one of the finest examples of Art Nouveau architecture. The ceilings and walls are adorned with intricate plasterwork unique to this house, and are set above rimu panelling. Every room boasts stained, leaded glass windows. Guests have exclusive use of the north wing, comprising two luxurious bedrooms with private bathrooms, an octagonal library and large sitting room. The house is centrally heated. Award winning cuisine features innovative fish dishes and organic ingredients. The house is set on two acres of garden full of trees and mature shrubs where native birds sing and 70 acres of rolling hills with spectacular views of the Ruahine Ranges. Otawa Lodge provides a welcoming and peaceful base from which to explore all that this area has to offer. Otawa lodge has acheived the Qualmark Bronze Enviro Award for responsible tourism.
Pattison Room
The luxurious Pattison Bedroom with its rimu timber ceiling and stained glass, has luxurious period furnishings and a private bathroom. The king bed (or twin king single beds) are made with pure cotton linen and traditional wool blankets. Cosy bathrobes, hairdryers and complimentary toiletries are also provided.
Hot water radiators in every room ensure warmth throughout the house all year round.
Stewart
The luxurious Stewart Bedroom with its rimu timber ceiling and stained glass, has luxurious period furnishings and a private bathroom. The Queen bed is made with pure cotton linen and traditional wool blankets. Cosy bathrobes, hairdryers and complimentary toiletries are also provided.

Your Hosts Del & Sue ....Del and Sue Trew came from the UK ten years ago, brought the Otawa Homestead and have restored it to its former Edwardian glory. They have a passion for the Art Nouveau style and brought with them all the period furniture which is used in the Lodge. They enjoy sharing the wealth of history they have about Otawa and taking guests on a historic walk and talk tour. They have travelled extensively and enjoy hosting guests, especially for dinner as Sue is an accomplished chef.
