Titore Lodge
'At Titore Lodge' offers exclusive, very private, accommodation in Russell in the Bay of Islands. The lodge is architecturally designed and overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Russell harbour. Library Suite
This large suite has a private entrance and features a large patio. The Library Suite has panoramic views overlooking Russell harbour. Just off the patio are paths through subtropical gardens. There are also paths to Russell and a private sandy beach cove. Your spacious suite has a queen size bed, comfortable lounge area with a leather couch with sofa bed for an additional person, lounge chairs, and your own dining table for private breakfasts with a refrigerator and tea and coffee facilities. An extensive wall-to-wall library provides reading for all tastes. The Library Suite has been decorated with Afghan rugs, rich fabrics, fine furnishings, and original fine art. Your ensuite bathroom has a shower and heated towel racks. This room is set up for comfort and long term stays with lots of storage space.
Garden Suite
This sumptuous suite was completed in December 2004. A private path takes you to your own large patio with dining for two. There are magnificent sea views from both the living room and bedroom. The apartment is furnished with a world collection of fine art, Afghan Rugs, and designer furniture. Your bed choice is super-king size or super-twins. For cooler weather the bathroom floor is heated and your apartment has air conditioning and heating. There is a table for private breakfasts, a refrigerator and tea and coffee facilities. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, heated towel rack and glass double sinks. This is a room you will want to spend time in.
Kiwi Forest Room
This dramatic room has a two story wood ceiling, ensuite bathroom and features a world art collection. The suite is located on the main floor and has two entrances. You can enter either through the lodge or through a path to your private patio with hammock. This room opens directly to the lodge lounge, bar, dining room and patio, which opens onto the large deck overlooking the harbour. There is a unique queen size four-poster bed, a conservatory, roomy closets and drawer space for long stays, as well as a small kitchenette to enjoy a cup of tea/coffee in the privacy of your room or your privat patio and air/conditioning and heating for your comfort.
Your Hosts Carolyn ....After a successful private practice and international consulting Dr. Mills took time off to sail her 40 foot sloop Tioga III on a solo trip around the world. In the fourth year her journey ended in an explosion at sea in the mid-Atlantic. Badly injured, she worked her way to land and spent the next several years recovering from the accident. Now settled in New Zealand, Dr. Mills runs Titore Lodge.
