Thornton House
Built in 1902 and tastefully renovated in English country style, Thornton House offers you unique local accommodation in a house that reflects Cambridge's special charm and character. We have two luxurious guest rooms with adjoining ensuites, both decorated in English country style. In both rooms only the finest linen and fittings have been used. These include crisp cotton sheets and luxurious white towels and bath robes. Each room has tea/coffee making facilities, CD/tape/radio/TV, electric blankets, feather duvets and woollen blankets, toiletries and fresh flowers. We serve a full gourmet breakfast either in your room, in the dining room or alfresco in the large garden. Thornton House is centrally located opposite Lake Te Kotu, very easy to find and easy walking distance to the local cafe's, restaurants, shops etc. Quality and luxury are assured as indicated by our achievement of the highest Qualmark rating for a B&B in the Waikato region.
The Garden Room
The Garden Room is a large elegant room that opens out on to the veranda overlooking a secluded cottage garden. The ensuite includes a large (big enough for two) clawfoot bath. The finest linen and fittings have been used including crisp white cotton sheets and luxurious white towels and towelling robes.
Tea and coffee making facilities, home- made biscuits and chocolates, CD/TV/radio, electric blankets, feather duvets and/or woollen blankets and complimentary toiletries are all included.
It has an ensuite bathroom with a bath and a shower and can sleep a total of 3 guests. It has 2 beds - 1 Queen bed & 1 Single bed.

The Blue Room
The Blue Room has been recently redecorated and is warm and inviting, the focal point being it's antique brass bed. The finest linen and fittings have been used including crisp white cotton sheets and luxurious white towels and towelling robes.
Tea and coffee making facilities, home- made biscuits and chocolates, CD/TV/radio, electric blankets, feather duvets and complimentary toiletries are all included.
It has an ensuite bathroom with a shower only and can sleep a total of 2 guests. It has 1 bed (Queen) - Antique brass queen bed.
