Historic Home…Sympathetically Restored

McCormick House was architecturally designed and built for one of Picton’s earliest Colonial settlers, Scotsman Donald McCormick. Today, this gracious Picton home has been extensively restored, sympathetically retaining its beautiful, original native rimu timber panelling, staircase and fireplaces. Featuring half an acre of private established, award winning native gardens.

The three ensuite bedrooms are incomparably different in style, but all boast sumptuous 100% Egyptian cotton linen throughout. Features include double Jacuzzi, large antique claw foot bath and huge double showers.

She is also very passionate about her garden and catering to the whims of their 2 cats, ‘Libby’ and ‘Toby’. Carl, a designer and restorer of fine furniture, loves making and restoring early New Zealand colonial furniture. Together they enjoy bush walks visiting wineries, fine dining and boating.
